Book 32, Question 96
How long do baby reptiles take to become adults?
It depends on the kind.
Some small lizards grow up in about a year. Many turtles take ten years or more to be adults, and giant tortoises take even longer. Baby crocodiles grow a foot or more per year at first. Growth depends on food and warmth. A reptile’s speed of growing up matches its size and its lifespan.
