Book 33, Question 85
Why do bears have such long claws?
A bear’s claws are long and strong.
They are not for walking, because bears walk on flat feet. Bears use their claws for digging in dirt, tearing open rotten logs to find insects, and gripping tree trunks to climb. A bear uses them like garden tools. In the wild, bears are best watched from far away, so always keep a safe distance.
