Book 32, Question 118

Which reptile weighs the most?

The saltwater crocodile is the heaviest reptile alive.

Big males can weigh more than a thousand pounds, and a few have topped a ton. Leatherback sea turtles are heavy, too, and can weigh over a thousand pounds. The biggest animals live in warm places where food is plentiful. Fortunately, crocodiles keep to themselves and stay in their own waters.
