Book 32, Question 112
Do any reptiles glow?
Some reptiles glow in a special way.
When blue or ultraviolet light shines on them, scientists have seen hawksbill sea turtles glow red and green. Some chameleons have bones in their heads that glow blue under UV light. The animals don’t make light on their own; they absorb the light and give back a different color. Only trained scientists do this, so enjoy it from photos.
