Book 32, Question 100
How big are reptile eggs?
Reptile eggs come in all sizes.
The smallest, from tiny geckos, are about the size of a pea. Many snake eggs are the size of a finger. Sea turtle eggs look like ping-pong balls. Large crocodile eggs are bigger than a hen’s egg. A big egg has more yolk food, so the baby is bigger when it hatches. Egg size often matches how big the baby needs to be.
