Book 32, Question 91
How many eggs does a reptile lay at one time?
The number of eggs in a nest is called a clutch.
It ranges from one or two eggs for some small geckos to over a hundred for sea turtles. Large pythons can lay dozens. More eggs give the species better odds that some will hatch and grow up. Reptiles with small clutches often take better care of each one.
