Book 29, Question 83
What is drip irrigation?
Drip irrigation uses tubes with tiny holes or emitters that release water slowly right at the roots.
Very little water is lost to evaporation or splashing. It can use half as much water as sprinklers, and keeps leaves dry, which helps prevent disease. Gardeners connect it to a timer. You can make a simple drip with a bottle that has a small hole in the cap.
