Book 29, Question 77
When is the best time of day to water plants?
Early morning is best.
Cool air means less water evaporates, so more soaks in, and plants have water for the hot day. Leaves dry in the sun, which helps prevent fungus. Watering at midday wastes water as it evaporates quickly. Watering in the evening can leave leaves wet all night, inviting disease. Aim water at the soil, not the leaves.
