How can you start a garden bed without digging?
A no-dig bed starts by covering the grass or weeds with flattened cardboard, then wetting it.
On top you add layers of compost, leaves, and soil. Over weeks, the cardboard smothers the plants below and worms and microbes break it down. Soon you have a soft bed ready to plant. This method saves your back and protects soil life.
