What can gardeners do in winter to get ready for spring?
Winter is planning time.
Gardeners look through seed catalogs, sketch garden plans, order seeds, clean tools, and start some seeds indoors. They also check which crops did well last year and which ones struggled. Windowsill herbs and sprouts keep gardening alive in cold months. Planning ahead makes spring planting easier and more fun.
