Book 29, Question 21
How can you garden in a small space by growing upward?
Climbing plants like peas, pole beans, and cucumbers can grow up trellises, strings, or fences instead of sprawling on the ground.
Hanging baskets, wall planters, and stacked pots add more room. Going vertical saves space, keeps fruit clean, and lets air flow around leaves. Make sure supports are sturdy, because a tall plant full of vegetables can be heavy.
