Book 27, Question 90
What is a rock hound?
A rock hound is someone who loves finding and collecting rocks, minerals, and crystals.
Rock hounds explore creeks and beaches where collecting is allowed. They learn to identify what they find by color, hardness, shine, and shape. Quarries and road cuts can be dangerous, so rock hounds visit them only on permitted trips with an adult. A notebook, a bag, and a curious mind are enough to start.
