Book 27, Question 89
What gems and minerals come from Canada?
Canada has many treasures.
Amethyst is mined near Thunder Bay, Ontario, and is Ontario's gemstone. Diamonds are mined in the Northwest Territories and other northern areas. Alberta has ammolite, a rainbow gem formed from fossil shells. Labrador has labradorite, a stone that flashes blue in the light. Every province has its own minerals worth exploring.
