Book 25, Question 83
Why do Canada geese stay in city parks all year?
Many Canada geese now live in parks and golf courses year-round.
Short, soft grass is easy for them to eat, ponds give safety, and few predators bother them. Because food is available, some geese no longer fly south. Geese can be protective of their nests and chicks, so keep a safe distance and do not feed them.
