Book 24, Question 49
How can a funnel and a lamp show you what lives in soil?
With a grown-up, put leaf litter in a funnel over a jar, with a screen to hold the litter. Shine a cool LED lamp above it. The litter slowly dries from the top, and tiny creatures move downward away from the light and dryness, falling into the jar. A magnifying glass lets you look at them.
