Book 33, Question 99 · Video
How do cats land on their feet?
When a cat falls, it twists its body in the air so its feet point down. A cat has a very bendy backbone and a good sense of balance. It turns its front half and then its back half. It also spreads its legs out like a parachute. This is called the righting reflex. It happens in less than a second. Never drop a cat to test it.
