What Crafty Clover says in this video

Intro

Hi there, curious minds! I'm Crafty Clover! Let's discover something amazing. Are there still new reptiles to discover?

The Big Idea

Are all the reptiles already found? Not even close! There are still new ones to discover.

Every Year

Step one: Every Year. Yes! Every year scientists find and name new kinds of reptiles, often more than a hundred. Many are found in remote forests, mountains, and islands.

Hiding in Plain Sight

Step two: Hiding in Plain Sight. Some have been hiding in plain sight. Lizards that look alike can turn out to be different kinds.

New Tools

Step three: New Tools. New tools such as DNA tests help tell them apart. There's always more to learn, and maybe one day you'll discover a new reptile yourself!

A Closer Look

Let's take a closer look! Remote. Hidden kinds. New finds. Tells apart.

Quick Facts

Quick facts! A new species is often found by careful field work. Often over a hundred new kinds are named each year. DNA helps sort them. Look-alikes can differ.

Think Like a Scientist

Now, think like a scientist! Invent your own new reptile. Draw it. Give it a name. Write what it eats. Write where it lives.
