Book 32, Question 59 · Video
What hidden colors might a lizard see?
Many lizards can see more colors than people can. They have special cells in their eyes that detect ultraviolet light, a kind of light we cannot see. Some lizards even have patches on their bodies that show up in UV, like a secret message to other lizards. To them, the world looks brighter and more detailed. Our eyes see only part of the light that exists.
