Book 31, Question 149 · Video
What can a year of bird notes teach you?
If you write down the birds you see each week, you will start to notice patterns. Some birds appear only in summer, others only in winter, and some stay all year. You may notice when the first songs begin in spring, or when feeders get busier in winter. Your notes become a story of your neighborhood. Scientists also study this kind of long-term notes from regular people.
