What Crafty Clover says in this video

Intro

Hi there, curious minds! I'm Crafty Clover! Let's discover something amazing. Do birds play?

The Big Idea

Do birds ever just have fun? Scientists say yes! Do birds play?

Snow Sliders

Step one: Snow Sliders. Scientists have seen ravens slide down snowy roofs. Crows have been seen riding snowy slopes on lids and other flat objects, again and again, just for fun.

Swinging and Tossing

Step two: Swinging and Tossing. Parrots hang upside down and swing for fun. Young birds toss sticks and leaves and chase each other.

Why Play

Step three: Why Play. Play isn't about food. It helps young birds practice movements and learn about their world, and it may help them solve problems later on. Play is how many animals learn, including you!
