What Crafty Clover says in this video

Intro

Hi there, curious minds! I'm Crafty Clover! Let's discover something amazing. Why do rock hounds follow collecting rules?

The Big Idea

Rock hounds have rules! Why do they matter? Let's learn the code.

Parks

Step one: Parks. Places like national and provincial parks usually protect rocks, fossils, and plants. Taking them is not allowed.

Private Land

Step two: Private Land. On private land, you must ask the owner first. Rules protect special places so everyone can enjoy them and scientists can study them.

Good Habits

Step three: Good Habits. A good rock hound leaves the area as tidy as they found it and stays away from cliffs. They take only what is permitted.

A Closer Look

Let's take a closer look! Parks protect rocks. Ask the owner. Leave it tidy. Stay away from cliffs.

Quick Facts

Quick facts! Some sites have rules about the number of rocks you can take. Always ask first. Leave it tidy. Rules help scientists.

Think Like a Scientist

Now, think like a scientist! Write a rock hound promise. Add three rules. Sign your name. Share it with your family. Follow it on every trip!
