Why Do Nebulae Look Like Colorful Clouds?
Nebulae look like colorful clouds because they really are giant clouds of gas and dust in space! Hot stars light them up, or dark dust lanes make shadowy shapes, painting pinks, blues, and glowing shapes for telescopes. Nebulae are star nurseries and leftovers!
