Book 33, Question 111
Do monkeys use tools?
Some monkeys do.
In Brazil, bearded capuchin monkeys pick up heavy stones and use them as hammers to crack open hard nuts on flat rocks. This takes strength and practice, and young monkeys learn by watching adults. Using tools shows a monkey can plan and solve problems. People use tools too, but we are not the only ones.
