Book 33, Question 27
Why is milk different from one mammal to another?
Every kind of mammal has its own milk recipe.
A rabbit mother feeds her babies only once or twice a day, so her milk is very rich in fat and protein. Some mothers nurse their babies all day long, and their milk has less fat. People’s milk has a different mix than cow’s milk. Each recipe fits how fast the baby grows and how often it feeds.
