Book 32, Question 72

How can a snake squeeze through tiny gaps?

A snake’s body is flexible.

It has no breastbone and a long spine with many joints, so it can bend and fold in tight spaces. If its head can fit, the body can usually follow. The ribs move apart or together as needed. That’s why snakes can slip through narrow cracks or holes. If a snake gets into your home, tell a grown-up.
