Book 32, Question 68
How can you spot a lizard’s ear holes?
A lizard’s ears are small holes on the sides of its head, just behind the eyes.
In many lizards you can see a round eardrum like a tiny drum skin. In some lizards the ear is smaller or tucked under skin. This lets lizards hear sounds in the air. Snakes don’t have these ear holes, which is a good clue for telling them apart.
