Book 31, Question 132

Why does a bird’s behavior matter as much as its colors?

What a bird does can be as helpful as how it looks.

A nuthatch climbs down tree trunks headfirst. A phoebe wags its tail while perched. A kestrel hovers in one spot over a field. A sandpiper bobs its rear end as it walks. If two birds look alike, their actions may be the clue. Watch what it eats, where it perches, and how it moves.
