Book 31, Question 83
How do two birds sing one song together?
Some birds, like certain wrens, sing duets.
Each bird sings its own part, and they take turns so quickly and so exactly that the song sounds as if one bird sang it. The pair practices and learns each other’s timing. Duets help partners stay in touch in thick forests where they can’t see each other. It’s teamwork made of sound.
