Book 31, Question 42
Why can a crow eat so many kinds of food?
Crows are generalists, which means they eat many kinds of food: seeds, fruit, insects, worms, and scraps.
Their strong, straight bills work like all-purpose tools. They can dig, tear, pick, and pry. Because they are not picky, crows can live in forests, farms, and cities. A flexible diet is a big advantage when one kind of food gets hard to find.
