Book 30, Question 145
What does a limnologist do?
A limnologist is a scientist who studies lakes, ponds, and other inland waters.
They might measure temperature, sample plankton, study fish, or test for pollution. They work on boats, in labs, and sometimes under the ice. The word comes from limne, an ancient Greek word for lake. They also teach people how to protect water.
