Who pays for the water that comes out of the tap?
Cleaning and delivering water takes a lot of work.
People run treatment plants, repair pipes, test the water, and pay for energy to pump it. Most families pay a bill to cover these costs. The water itself is a gift of nature, but making it safe and bringing it to the tap is a service. That is why saving water can also save money.
