Book 30, Question 97
How do low-flow fixtures save water?
Low-flow showerheads and faucets have small parts that mix air into the water or make the flow narrower, so it feels strong while using less.
Modern toilets flush with about six liters, while very old ones used twice that. Taps with aerators feel fine, too. Over a year, a family can save thousands of liters, which also saves energy for heating water.
