Book 30, Question 83
How much water can one dripping tap waste?
A tap that drips once every second can waste thousands of liters of water in a year.
That is enough to fill a wading pool several times. Drips are often caused by a worn rubber washer, which a grown-up can replace. Small leaks add up because they never stop. Finding and fixing leaks is one of the easiest ways for a family to save water.
