Book 30, Question 74
How do pond snails breathe and lay their eggs?
Many pond snails have a lung, not gills, so they come to the surface to take in air.
Others use gills. A pond snail lays its eggs in clear jelly blobs on leaves or stones. You can see tiny snails growing inside. Snails graze on algae and keep plants clean, and they're food for fish and ducks.
