Book 29, Question 129
How can you test whether old seeds will still sprout?
Place ten seeds on a damp paper towel, fold it, and slip it into a plastic bag.
Keep it somewhere warm and check each day. After a week or so, count how many sprouted. If seven sprout out of ten, that's 70 percent. If very few do, buy fresh seeds or plant extra. Seeds lose their liveliness with age, and storage conditions matter.
