Book 29, Question 104
How does a worm bin turn scraps into plant food?
A worm bin is a container with damp shredded paper bedding and a special kind of worm called red wigglers.
They eat fruit and vegetable scraps and leave behind castings, a dark, crumbly material that is very rich in nutrients. A bin can sit under a sink or in a corner. Keep it damp, shady, and not too hot or cold. Red wigglers are not the same as garden earthworms.
