Book 29, Question 60
How can you make your garden friendly to birds?
Provide fresh water in a shallow birdbath, and change it often.
Plant native shrubs and trees with berries and seeds. Leave some seed heads standing in autumn. Put up nest boxes. Keep cats indoors so birds are safe, and add stickers on windows to prevent crashes. If you use a feeder, clean it regularly. A mix of plants gives food and hiding places.
