Book 29, Question 59
Why are birds such good pest patrol?
Many birds eat insects, such as caterpillars and beetles, and feed them to their chicks.
Some eat weed seeds. Hummingbirds and some other birds even carry pollen from flower to flower. Birds also add droppings that feed soil. A garden with birds usually has fewer pests. Birds are great garden helpers, and fun to watch.
