Book 29, Question 9
What is a microclimate in a garden?
A microclimate is a small spot where the weather is a little different from the area around it.
A sunny, south-facing wall can be several degrees warmer, because bricks soak up heat and give it back at night. A low corner can collect cold air and get frost first. A windy corner dries out quickly. Gardeners use these spots to place plants that like warmth, shelter, or shade.
