Book 29, Question 6
Can you grow a garden in pots and containers?
Yes!
Many plants grow well in pots, from herbs and lettuce to cherry tomatoes and peppers. A container needs drainage holes so extra water can escape, and potting mix instead of heavy garden soil. Pots dry out faster than the ground, so they need frequent watering. Containers let people garden on balconies, steps, and windowsills where there is no yard.

Quick answers
Can you grow a garden in pots and containers?
Container planting can put stress on plants if the soil temperature gets too hot in the sun, the pots are not sufficiently watered, or if salts build up in the soil from hard water and over-fertilization.
