Book 28, Question 127
Why are close calls so hard for referees?
Players and balls move very fast, and the human eye and brain need time to process what they see.
A referee must watch many things at once, from a certain angle, and decide in a split second. They can also be blocked by other players. Referees train hard, use signals, and sometimes review video. Respecting their decisions is part of good sportsmanship.
