Book 28, Question 39
How do lugers steer their sleds?
A luger lies on their back on a small sled with steel runners and no brakes or steering wheel.
Steering is done with tiny movements: pressing a leg or shoulder to bend the runners slightly, and shifting weight. The sled can reach speeds of over 80 miles per hour. Lugers wear helmets and special suits, and train for years.
