Book 28, Question 29
What do cleats do for soccer players?
Cleats are shoes with bumps or short studs on the bottom.
The studs push into the grass or ground, making a firm hold so a player can start, stop, and turn without slipping. Different fields need different studs: long ones for soft grass, short ones for hard ground or turf. Cleats are made so they do not cut people, and referees check them.
