How do you take care of a crystal collection?
Some minerals need gentle handling.
Halite and Epsom salt dissolve in water, so keep them dry. Amethyst and rose quartz can fade in strong sunlight. Soft minerals like gypsum scratch easily, so store them apart from harder ones. Use boxes with soft padding and labels, and dust with a soft brush. Handle specimens by their sides and keep them out of reach of small children.
