Book 26, Question 75
Does one person usually invent something alone?
Most inventions grow from many people's ideas.
Before Thomas Edison made his light bulb, other inventors had made glowing lamps, and later workers improved Edison's. Several people also worked on the telephone at the same time. Inventors build on earlier ideas, test, and improve them. Credit often goes to one name, but there are many people behind the story.
