Book 25, Question 117
Why can't everything go in the blue bin?
Recycling works best when the items are clean and the right type.
Greasy pizza boxes, food-covered containers, and plastic bags can spoil other paper or jam machines. Some plastics have no buyers. Cities have rules that list what is accepted, so check your local guide. Rinsing containers and keeping bins free of the wrong things helps recycling work.
