Book 25, Question 114
How does a garbage truck squeeze in so much trash?
A garbage truck has a strong hydraulic arm that lifts bins and dumps them into the back.
Inside, a big metal plate called a packer blade pushes the trash forward against the wall and squeezes it into a smaller space. Liquid pressure in cylinders gives it great power. Compacting lets the truck carry much more on each trip.
