Book 25, Question 109
What is a soundscape, and how can you listen to one?
A soundscape is all the sounds of a place together, such as birds, wind, footsteps, traffic, and music.
Scientists record soundscapes to learn about the health of a place. You can take a sound walk with a grown-up. Walk slowly and listen for different kinds of sounds. If you want to close your eyes to listen better, stop and stand still first, away from the street.
