How do smart streetlights know when to dim?
Smart streetlights have sensors that notice motion, daylight, and traffic.
When nobody is around late at night, the lights can dim to save energy and then brighten when someone approaches. They can also be controlled from a computer, which reports when a bulb needs repair. Careful use of light saves energy and keeps streets safe.
