Book 25, Question 78
Why do peregrine falcons nest on skyscrapers?
Peregrine falcons naturally nest on high cliff ledges.
A skyscraper's ledge looks just like a cliff to them, and the city has lots of pigeons to eat. Many cities, including Toronto, have falcon nest boxes on tall buildings, and people watch them on webcams. These birds were once rare, and seeing them back is good news for nature.
